Don't miss it! DANCE TEACHERS: ATANAS KOLAROVSKI is the legendary Macedonian dancer nonpareil and former lead soloist and director of "Tanec". Atanas has helped to spread Macedonian culture and folklore throughout North America, Europe, and East Asia. AHMET LULECI is a fabulous dancer and one of the premier teachers of Turkish dance in the world. Ahmet directs the popular annual "World Camp" held in the Northeast and is in great demand at workshops, camps, and festivals. SANI RIFATI is the director of the Voice of Roma and will give presentations on the dance, songs, and culture of the Roma. The Voice of Roma coordinated the fall 2004 tour of the great Esma Redzepova, "Queen of Romani Music" and Sani's cousin. YULIYAN YORDANOV, raised in the village of Doyrentsi in northern Bulgaria, learned dancing at an early age from his grandfather, an excellent dancer and singer. He is a graduate of the Plovdiv Academy for Music and Dance Arts. DANIELA IVANOVA (tentative) is multi-talented in the folk arts including dancing, singing, and weaving. A superb and subtle stylist, her folkloric expertise spans Bulgaria and several neighboring Balkan countries. MUSICAL ARTISTS AND TEACHERS: MARY MINAS is a native of the village of Nevolini (Skopia) near Lerin (Florina) in the Aegean Macedonian region. She taught and lead the award-winning choir of the Toronto-based "Selyani" and has performed with Vaska Ilieva, Pece Atanasovski, et al. JAMES STOYANOFF is a master of the clarinet and performs and teaches Greek, Macedonian, and Turkish music. He studied clarinet with such masters as Karakos, Halkias, Anestopoulos, Gundeger, and others. PETAR VODENOV from Gotse Delchev in the Pirin Macedonian region, is a master of the clarinet. He directed the Orchestra "Nevrokop" for ten years and has collaborated with a number of top artists, including Georgi Zhbandov. JELENA ZIVKO with family roots in the village of Jastrebarsko, Prigorje Region, Croatia, is a talented vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and dancer, and has had a lifelong involvement with Croatian folklore and "Hrvatska Loza" as a performer and teacher DANIELA IVANOVA (tentative) please description above under "DANCE TEACHERS". SPECIAL GUEST ARTISTS: FRIDAY and SATURDAY evening parties will feature live music by Jim Stoyanoff and "Orpheus" Hellenic Ensemble, Orchestra "Izgrev" (Bulgarian, Macedonian, Serbian, Rom), Orch. "Pirin", Mary & Angelo Minas, "Hrvatska Loza" of Chicago, which is one of the most renowned and respected Croatian folklore groups in North Ameria, plus other artists to be announced.
